MORE ABOUT ME...

I've been a massage therapist since 2011—DANG, that's a long time! I completed my training at the International Professional School of Bodywork, earning an Associate's Degree in Holistic Health. With over 1,230 hours of training under my belt, I specialize in clinical methods and Thai Massage, far surpassing the typical 500-hour certification. Honestly, I wouldn’t be the therapist I am today without learning everything from Thai Massage to Tui Na to Deep Tissue Sculpting. And I keep leveling up! In 2017, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and just this year(2024), I added a CrossFit L1 certification.

Since almost the beginning of my career, I’ve focused on Sport Massage, and I now embrace my role as a Wellness Guide. My mission? Helping active people dial into body awareness to uplevel their fitness wellness. I love tackling specific injuries and challenges through deep tissue compressions and passive stretching, drawing on my Thai Massage roots. Instead of a typical spa-style massage, I zero in on muscle tissue mobilization and structural shifts. It’s that delicious discomfort with a purpose—therapeutic and intentionally deep, with results as my end game, not just instant relaxation.

Here’s what I design my sessions to help you achieve:

  • Reduce, manage, and eliminate pain (my absolute JAM!)

  • Gain flexibility for less joint pain

  • Boost athletic performance (love seeing those wins!)

  • Prevent injuries and minimize re-injury risk

As a yoga instructor, my classes are all about injury prevention and recovery. My style is close to Hatha Yoga with longer holds and a slower pace. But I like to start with a Vinyasa-style flow (think breath-to-movement) for strength and focus—sometimes set to classic rock because who says yoga can’t be fun?

I always encourage my students not to take yoga too seriously. Imperfections are the starting point! We’ve got to embrace where we are before we get those gains.

How is Sport Massage Different
From a regular massage?

When it comes to choosing between sports massage therapy and a regular massage, understanding the key differences can help you make an informed decision. Here are three main distinctions:

01

Focus and Purpose

  • Sports Massage: Specifically targets muscle groups used in athletic activities to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery.

  • Regular Massage: Generally focuses on relaxation and stress relief, addressing overall muscle tension and promoting general well-being.

02

Techniques Used

  • Sports Massage: Utilizes techniques such as deep tissue manipulation, stretching, and trigger point therapy to address specific issues related to physical activity and sports performance.

  • Regular Massage: Often employs gentler techniques like Swedish massage, which includes long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular movements to promote relaxation and improve circulation.

03

Intensity and Frequency

  • Sports Massage: Typically more intense and tailored to the needs of athletes or active individuals, often performed more frequently in line with training schedules and recovery needs.

  • Regular Massage: Generally less intense, aimed at overall relaxation and stress reduction, and may be done less frequently, depending on individual preferences and needs.

By understanding these differences, you can choose the massage therapy that best suits your fitness and wellness goals. Whether you're looking to enhance athletic performance with sports massage or simply unwind with a regular massage, each type offers unique benefits tailored to your needs.
